Colonoscopy Screenings
Screening colonoscopy is for routine screening, a personal history of polyps or colon cancer or a family history of colon cancer.
Diagnostic colonoscopy is used to evaluate conditions such as but not limited to:
- Unexplained rectal bleeding or discharge
- Unexplained changes in bowel habits
- Unexplained abdominal pain
- Unexplained weight loss or lack of weight gain
- Inflammatory Bowel Disease
- Unexplained anemia
If you have any bleeding, abdominal pain, or gastrointestinal symptoms, or if you are on any blood thinners such as Plavix, Eliquis, or other antiplatelet medications (but not including aspirin), or if you would like to consult with our physicians for any active gastrointestinal problems.
